CPA’s must successfully complete a thorough multi-day examination covering various aspects of corporate finance and analysis, tax issues, corporate accounting, business law and auditing matters. CPA’s must also complete a prescribed number of years in work experience. Rick Remeschatis passed all required sections of the CPA examination in his first attempt. Less than 10% of those attempting the exam pass all sections on the first try.

This Charter is granted by the Association for Investment Management and Research and its subsidiary, the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. To earn this Charter individuals must:
1. Pass a series of three sequential examinations over a minimum of three years
2. Work in the investment profession analyzing on managing investments for at least three years, and
3. Agree to abide by AIMR’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and reaffirm that commitment annually.
